The 5 Things You Need to Truly Make a Transformation.
A Tony Robbins' Lesson for Theo Von
One of my favorite things is listening to podcasts by comedians, it's more enjoyable for me to listen in and laugh on my commute than to hear the same songs over and over. Often times the comedians will have a guest or a conversation that I can actually take a lesson from and I love it when that happens.
Recently, Theo Von had Tony Robbins on his podcast and they talked about the biochemistry of transformation. I thought that would be perfect for this group because our journey has to start somewhere.
The 5 Steps:
Satiation - We're doing the same thing over and over again feeling like we've had enough.
Dissatisfaction - What was once a good thing doesn't make us happy anymore.
Hit a Threshold - Not only does it not make us happy anymore, WE CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!
Insight - You come to the realization that the problems in your life are no one's fault but your own.
The Window of Opportunity - Once you've gone through all the steps there is a small window of opportunity that you have to make a change that lasts but it isn't open for long.
This framework really stuck out to me even though it wasn't one of the main talking points of the episode. I recently made a major change in my personal life that has led to incredible growth and transformation for me. Looking back I recognized the pattern in myself.
